The Read/Write Web in the Classroom, such a basic concept that has remarkable benefits for all who use it. Students can use the applications to practice writing and communication skills, as well as reflect on their own learning or as a tool for learning projects. As a facilitator it's use is endless, as a tool for reflecting student learning for parent communication, posting assessments, sharing thoughts, resources and ideas, stimulating discussions and increasing student motivation levels. Why didn't I think of it's applications sooner!
Alicia, I hadn't thought of using the blogs for communicating with Parents, but how cool would that be? Just think, little johnny is a challenge in the classroom, and instead of starting a communications diary with the parent, start up a blog. Bet we could think of many more great ways to use them!
ReplyDeleteHe he, not exactly what I had in mind, but we could even show video footage of the behaviour! He he.
ReplyDeleteMy ideas were of communicating to parents the learning, but I'm really starting to like your path :)
